I'm tempted by a couple of items in their sale, have never bought Boden before so looking for some advice from those in the know.
How does it compare to say Hobbs in terms of quality?
Is the sizing ok - I'm a 14 but have fairly generous hips and thighs (although I think the dresses I've seen would cover them!)?
Thanks

Hi just seen this post so it might be too late, i think their sizing pretty generous especially the dresses , a lot that are a-line style i've orded in a 14 when i am a size 14-16.
In terms of quality, i think their childrens clothes are excellent my little boy has had loads of their t-shirts and they've washed really weel and not lost their shaper.
Womens stuff is good too but a little bit hit and miss , on the whole its good but occassionally i've been a bit disappointed.
Probably not quite as good as hobbs but not as quite expensive really.Grocery Challenge Feb 14 £500 / Spent £572.10!

Personally for the past couple of years the sizing has been a bit haywire.I have quite a lot of Boden and the stuff I have ranges between 14's and 18's. I think the cotton/linen fabrics are hard to beat. I have white cotton trousers that must be 5 years old and they wash up like new everytime and the patterns/colours are different to the usual shops. The t shirts tops can easily be beaten elsewhere, they are way too expensive and short in body length as are the cardys. Shoes are "different" but again can be beaten, tend to be narrow or ultra wide - seems to be no middle ground. Best thing is to order a few bits and see for yourself, or betterstill try and get to one of the shops..SallyD0

Thanks - I'm not near any shops so I may order one of the dresses and see how I get on. The one I want isn't available in my size now however the stock level seems to be changing frequently so I'll just keep watching.NO FARMS = NO FOOD0

Hi, I have just seen this so sorry if it is a bit late but I would strongly advise checking out their body and garment measuerment. For each item they have a tab on the top that gives you more details and all the relevant leasurements. I personally would never buy unless I have checked these. Also always check other customers' reviews a sthey would give you fair idea whether the item is running big or small or the quality is not the best an dthen you can make informed decision. Unfortunately the review commenst are not on in sales but you can still check the measurements. I love Boden stuff and i used to be Hobbs customer before so I hope you like their stuff too.0
