Not sure of the way the cartridges are on the RX but I was told before to remove the cartridge, wet a piece of kitchen towel and to place the cartridge where the ink comes out, on to it for a few seconds , if you do try make sure you dont get the chip on the cartridge wet.

I was told this for an old HP deskjet I had.
