Just read this item and initially panicked!
Just got back from Majorca yesterday, via Palma Airport.
Was approached by woman (part of a team) operating at the departure gates doing a holiday survey for a £3000.00 competition (MSE not mentioned).
Stupidly gave my name, post code and phone number.
Turns out to be "Clubs La Costa (uk) PLC" who appear elsewhere on your site as a timeshare company, so thankfully should only result in nuisance calls from hereon.
Usually so careful about giving out details - guess I was still in holiday (Dumb) mode!!0 -

On a slightly different note....I am new to this site and would really like some help if Martin or anyone out there can.
I have just recieved a telephone call from a company called "TOUCN CLAIMS" who claim to be able to wipe all of my credit card debts and interest paid if the card companies have ever increased my limit or do not have a hard copy of the original credit agreement PLUS money back from my mortgage lender. I am currently experiencing money problems so obviously this sounds fantastic, however they are asking for a £250 upfront payment for registering the claim. Is this to good to be true as it sounds and if i go ahead am i going to have lost £250 that i dont have.
:money: :A please help as I've done a bit of research and most seem to be charging 20% (some 25%) of the settlement plus VAT so im really tempted to go with toucan!?!?!?
ps the same call has happened to a few people...0 -
Ali, i think your query will get missed here. I'd suggest re-posting your question over on the Pure Money section of the forum, possibly the Loans sub-forum?

Apart from all the interesting and informative advice above regarding Names address's Burglary etc .
" NEVER, EVER, SIGN ANYTHING ".
Some time ago my wife Signed a so called Survey and we later found our Gas and Electric was to be Transferred to a new supplier. We complained about the Suppliers Sales tactics, they stopped the transfer.
But it just goes without saying DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING UNLESS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY SURE WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING!!0
