Buyer beware!!!!
I have applied for the said dongle package from 3/Micro Peripherals acting on 3's behalf, but despite numerous phone calls (NO ANSWER) and talking to 3 customer services (cost £13.98( In 1 call) i am getting nowhere fast... my cash was taken from my bank on the 14/7/2009, and it states that you will receive your dongle package in 3 days, gues what its now 6 days and no dongle... I have given 3 48 hours to sort it out complete with a full refund, otherwise Trading Standards, my solicitor and the police will all be doing a little work regarding Fraud where 3, their so called logistics company and possibly Uswitch may be getting a visit or letter by the above 3 groups..
Buyer beware!!!! I will let the group know the outcome...
regards
Peter
Ps i would love to hear if anyone else has had the same problem...0 -

I wouldn't worry...if you re-read the info on 3 site it states 3 working days, that can be why yours is late.
I know dozens of people who have bought these dongles myself included and they do take a little while too arrive on occasions.
They were £4.99 until about a week ago and the offer will end 31/07 so anyone who wants one must be quick.
The dongle is worth every penny....and there's a perfectly legal way too unlock it and use another providers sim card.
I wont go into details here but my PM box is always open.;)0 -
No need for you to go into details...there are multiple threads on this forum alone, with guides and software.0

In the first instance, you could try ringing Micro P during office hours on 01282 776 776. Someone will answer. They may be useless at logistics, but they will answer the phone.
As to your costly telephone call, you could have tried ringing '3' using 0800 3586795 therefore saving 13.98.
Keep your hair on and try the number supplied during office hours.0 -

One of the threads is here.
It simply involves removing and replacing the branded firmware. It's simple and done in around twenty minutes, with only a little interaction necessary.
No need to pay to buy credits for unlocking via the DC Unlocker for instance....which has also been widely covered on the appropriate threads here.0 -

No, I didn't spend £13.98 chasing a (then) £4.95 dongle, thereby saving myself £13.98 and a whole lot of stress en route. I just waited and it arrived.:eek:RIP independent MSE.
