Multiple Child Friendly Trolley Supermarkets?

Hi
I have three children..well two small ones that need to sit in trolleys... my son is two and a half and my daughter is 14 months...
Anyway, I have always shopped at Sainsburys... have always been ok using one of the trolleys with the 'plastic baby car seat type thing' on the right side and the pull down 'metal sit the toddler in seat' on the left. Since my daughter has got bigger over the last few months, she has been a pain to take shopping... I can't blame her... she can't sit up in the 'plastic baby seats' and doesn't want to lie down and look at the ceiling!!
Just on an off chance we went to Morrisons a couple of weeks ago (I went to do my 'big shop' to see if I could actually save money)... I have got to say... what a pleasurable experience it was... they have trolleys there with two metal fold down seats in them which meant the kids could sit next to each other and I didn't have my daughter yanking at my sons hair... I didnt get my son reaching back to his little sister pinching her and poking her in the eyes for doing so and a shopping trip full of screams and tears!!! They were both so cheerful while I was shopping ...It was pretty stress free!! Needless to say I have been back there again this week!!!
My point is, that the Morrisons I visited was 10 miles away... Sainsburys is just under 5 miles from me... and also there is a huge Asda over the road from Sainsburys.. but they both have the trolleys with 1 baby seat and 1 toddler seat!! Is this the norm? do Sainsburys and Asda only cater for a baby and a toddler? What do they think people do with babies once they get bigger?? It isn't unusual to have children close together is it?
Does anyone else experience this ... or is it just Tamworth?

our asda has the trolleys with the metal seats for 2 kids to sit in. try asking at customer services or fill in a comment card at both stores asking them for better trolleys. married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090

And our Sainsbury's have two kids seat trolleys! I suppose someone else may of used it, or it was stolen?0

The Tesco where I work recently replaced all their trollies. They used to have the double seats which was great as my 2 are 20 months apart and my eldest has a hip condition which means she needed a seat for longer, they have replaced them with single seats or single seat with baby seat. Its a joke, loads of people have children 2 years apart and a 2 year old is not safe walking around a supermarket with trolleys everywhere. We have resorted to standing my eldest in the trolley and putting the shopping round her but then we got told off for standing as its dangerous!0

im sure all sainsburys standard trolleys sit two children, as i quite often forget and automatically put dd in the middle of the seat, and then realise that i cant do the straps up, as shes sitting on both buckles

I think they are in the new style trolleys which are wider. Some stores will have the older narrower trollies which they do have 2 seater versions of but most will be one seater.0 -
My Tesco's do have the two kids seats, but not many of them. I can usually be found asking the trolley collectors to dig one out from the 'middle of the pack' demanding it is the one I need to use.
And them.... well huffing and puffing while fighting to get it out, after all they are usually teenagers (probably kid free) and think I am probably a little un-hinged and cannot understand why the trolley at the front just will do not.
One seat is probably much cheaper trolley, which is why the stores are buying them. But it is no use to me.I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100 -
why don't you have your shopping delivered ? it is so much less hassle0

I find it very random from store to store, not even dependant on which company it was - I had twins then another baby 14 months later plus another 3 children - I didn't go anywhere for a while, lol!0
