Would it be money well spent joining them for help with my case and appeal over arrears?

They are very good on a case by case level, and they are listened to by the powers that be. The CSA dont like them because of what they do.
As for your question that is your decision, but they do what it states on the tin.0 -
and all for around £40 per year. I believe that it is money well spent.
