Using Parsley

God bless him. The man has been filming an advert for an insurance company around the corner for the best part of a week in freezing cold weather. (what a trooper/Star) The setup was a market and after it shut down they let us take as much fruit and veg as we could lay our hands on. MY stash will feed me for a week.
I seem to have lumbered myself with the world's biggest bunch of parsley and tho I love to eat it raw there is only so much snacking one can do with it. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks xx:TWhat Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
Lucky you, all that fruit and veg.
As for your parsley, when I was a kid, I grew some parsley in our back yard and made the most delish wine from it. Don't know how much you would need, but I bet you have enough for one flagon.0 -
You could try chopping it up, freezing it in a bit of water in an ice cube tray, stick the cubes in a freezer bag, then put it in, well, almost anything casseroley or soupy. Or maybe make some pesto which will keep in the fridge for a while?0

Well done on getting so much free fruit and veg - I always thought that Omid Djalili seemed like a nice guy, and now you've confirmed it!!
I've never made either of the recipes below, but your question made me google parsley recipes and if I were in possession of your large bunch of parsley, personally I think I'd be tempted to try these two recipes...

Failing that, parsley sauce is lovely on white fish, and I like parsley chopped and added into dumplings on top of a stew (particularly in cold weather!). Otherwise, could you make some type of taboulleh (sp?) using couscous or bulgur wheat and finely chopped parsley...?!
