DDis back from tea at her friends and currently demolishing some of the con beef pie I made earlier!!!! She had McD's at her friends and still hungry (although McD's are not really that filling, IMHO).
I think for my no.5 on my list I will pit "wash, dry and put away all dishes before going to bed"
Have done all the ironing....barr what is not dry and the wash basket is empty so that one is going well....so far xx

want a floating duck house - Ode to the Tax Payer

I want a floating duck house
I want to clear my moat
I need to mend my tennis court
That's why I need your vote.

I have to build a portico
    My swimming pool needs mending
My lovely plants need horse manure
And the Aga needs much tending

    A chandelier is vital
    Mock Tudor boards are great
    My hanging baskets won awards
And I've earned a tax rebate.

I need a glitter toilet seat.
    My piano so needs tuning
    Maltesers help me stay awake
And my orchard must need pruning

I could have said the rules were wrong
    And often thought I should,
    But somehow it was easier
    To profit all I could

The public really have to see
That the rules are there to test
    And by defrauding taxpayers
We were just doing our best

The Speaker of the House has gone,
    Our sacrificial beast,
But the public are still praying
For our corpses at the feast

What do the public want from us,
    Those vote-wielding ingrates?
    They really should be grateful
    To be financing our estates.

The message is so very clear,
    (we're merely learning late)
That the British way of living well
Is to screw the bloody state.

Kitchen nearly done, just waiting for the floor to dry and then I can finish rinsing the bin and sorting the hotspot before going to get my beaver.

Greenbee - sorry I was not thinking of going ethical on the insurance, just cheap really - I'm not sure cars and ethical really go but if there was a competitive quote I'd be tempted.

Poohbear, glad to hear about DH’s job, hope he gets to keep it after the week is up

    Hugs Tinkabell and Hermione

Mummyof5, Dallas is so sweet! Bradie’s got great eyes – she looks like she knows something you don’t!

CyclingYorkie – you remind me of my mum. We came home from holiday once and she’d ordered a skip and told my dad he had to empty the loft before he went back to work! He wasn’t overly delighted! It really needed doing tho. Well done you, get it done.

Toots, get a passport asap, then you can go abroad as soon as you feel up to it – imagine if you saw a great deal but couldn’t go because you didn’t have a passport – it will help with the marriage thing too as you need ID to get a wedding certificate thing. Great poem

Embb, what’s the big spade thing? Are you going to bury the cat? What are you doing to that poor cat?

Phizzimum well done on making a skirt, I love hearing about people making their own clothes.

Mudders, big hugs, sounds like the headache is caused by stress and not blubbing til later, hopefully you will feel better when you’ve had a good cry. Stripes is safe and will recover quickly. You did really well to act so quickly and get help for her
I have someone in mind its just maybe not going to happen quick enough!
Oooh, tell us more! Is Sean Connery single?

Flying: I've put away dry washing, and have thought about putting away dry washing up and doing some more washing up. Will do so later, bit tired now.

Walking: did 500 steps up until 4pm (despite all the manic flying - my house just isn't big enough!) so have had to do lots and lots to catch up, am at 4785, so still have a way to go to get the 8000 I need for today.

I don't regret asking you, you are doing a great job. I was too tired to go out once the WCs had been, they came a lot later than they said. I'm going first thing in the morning as I don't need to wait in for anything tomorrow!

The WCs were a bit wierd, a funny couple. A man and his female partner, they were both a bit odd! It was bizarre! Glad they are doing well with their business tho, they are looking for someone else to work with them as they have so much work on
