help with intrun justitia

Options
I'm really tyring to get all my depts clear and really thought i'd cracked it.
Then get a phone call from intrum justitia saying that i owe them £46 for a dept to STUDIO. I'm sure i haven't owed studio anything for ages and told them as much. After i then refused to give them all of my personal details and past addreses over the phone, was told by the representataive 'I don't care anyway', on another phone call that 'you are being deliberatly aquward and will have to pay more because of it' etc. Anyway eventatial during one call a representative agreed to send me details of why and from when i owe this money.

Instead they have simply sent me a letter saying

' The above namerd client has transfered your account to our specialist recovery team, and has instructed us to collect an outstanding balance of £46.31 which includes an administration fee charged in accordance with the terms and conditions between yourself and studio.

Followed by payment instuctions etc.

Surely i can't be expected to pay a bill without knowing what it's for.

What should i do?

p.s they are currently ringing me 5 times per day

There is a letter floating around on her saying that you only want to be contacted by telephone - not sure where it is though - maybe somone will point you in the right direction.
I think there is also a letter saying that you do not acknowledge this debt and that they need to send you proof of it before they can take any action - again hopefully someone will point it out for you as I'm not sure where it is.

Start by sending them the 'Prove It' letter that you will find on post 3 of the following most useful thread :

You will, also, find the letter that dancingfairy has suggested on post 5 of the same thread.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
