Tesco return items??.............Tonight

Will Tesco exchange 5 of the 6 bottles of wine I bought recently?
They are Tesco own brand (same wine) and still in box, but I really don't like the taste , after cracking open the first bottle.
I do have the internet receipt and it shows another 12 bottles of various wines. It was delivered from my local store, where I want to return it.
I'd rather not take the receipt back though, as the total amount added to my bonus points recently.
I'd just like to exchange them for a more drinkable wine if possible really.
Otherwise I'll end up taking them to the charity shop.

When you say bonus points do you mean that because you bought x number of bottles you got extra points? Or do you just mean the actual points for buying the six bottles?

I think you should be upfront and take the reciept back - it'll help your cause. And if you wanted to swap them for another wine then you'll likely keep the points. That's if they notice at all. I think we MSE'rs should be above reproach when it comes to Tesco's - after all we do take serious advantage of some of their other policies!

I took a bottle of vodka back and got a bottle of baileys, with no problems.

Yep, they will exchange the wine bottles and replace it with the new bottles of the same price but make sure you take your bill along.

I suppose if I took the receipt, as you say, and got more wine (my intention), then it should still count towards my bonus points anyhow.
Its just my experience with my local store is appalling. I don't even try to look for R&R's or anything else............................shopping in there is such a nightmare in itself, that I always try to avoid going there at all!

I had no problem changing wine. I ordered a case of mixed wine from Tesco's using my clubcard vouchers. It was good wine, but all 6 bottles of white were Chardonnay, which I don't like! So even though I had no till recipt I took 4 of the same bottles to my Tesco and they changed them without a quibble. As they were quite expensive wines, I was able to buy several extra bottles of red which I preferred.

Took them back tonight. They didn't even ask for my receipt (had it with me) the wine was a Tesco label anyway.
Just exchanged it for the same value and got wine I'd much rather prefer.
While there did in fact find a R&R on whole chicken's. So it looks like wine and chicken combo for tomorrows dinner.
