Print in white on a black t shirt? (have transfers

Hi,
I want to print something on a black tshirt in white - how can i do this?? i have some transfers, but i assume using printers wont work as they cannot print in white. Any ideas how i can do this - do i need a specialised printer/ink, or would i be better off going to a print shop if i was going to get a few prints of the design i wanted?

WHSmiths have TShirt transfer stuff with white backing so you can use it on dark Tshirts.

Oh thought the OP had ordinary Tshirt transfers which have transparent backing. :-[
