Q about NR mortgage

So we completed on our new house yesterday (yay). We have a copy of the formal mortgage offer, we signed docs with the solicitor. Arrangement fees added to mortgage. OK.
Will we get sent an account number, online access, things like that?
I know they are taking mortgage via direct debit, but I wouldn't even know where to start with overpayments!!!

Contact your lender to clarify what you can and can't do, and if there are any restrictions. If you are happy to commit to a set amount each month, and the terms and conditions allow you to, you could arrange to overpay by that amount and one option might be to have that taken by direct debit, but as I said, you would have to clarify these details with your lender. If you aren't looking to overpay a set amount regularly but only now and then, perhaps your lender might accept a cheque?0 -
Give the lender a call. If you don't have the info now I suspect you'll get a sort of welcome pack/letter, but in the meantime it wont hurt to call. They will probably just give you an account number you can make overpayments to, and you can double check if there are any limitations to overpayments.0
