spring flowers is def a good idea. i would def encourage my OH to get me some tulips or daffodils from our local farm shop - they are good value for money, make me feel summer is on the way, brighten up the house and dont make me fat!

We are buying our son a cycle helmet. You could do the same for your OH and that way encourage them to increase the amount of exercise they do and speed up their weight loss.
