Went to Tesco, Swansea yesterday.
Their own make peanut butter 340g jar - £1.89 (0.56 per 100g)
700g jar - £1.48 (0.21 per 100g)
I nearly picked up the smaller jar as that is the size i normally buy, but just happened to notice the difference in price!
Just checked Tesco.com and it's the same on there.
HTH any peanut butter lovers out there

Looks like a stealth charge for pensioners to me? People who wouldn't buy the bigger ones as it wouldn't get used?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Not unusual - have often found that in things like jars of pickle, even bottles of ketchup! They depend on people getting the groceries they need and not looking at the prices. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

If there's a wrong price, it's for the smaller jar. In Asda, the 700g jars of own brand peanut butter are £1.48, like they are in Tesco. However, the smaller 340g jars are only 78p.

Tesco own label peanut butter was off shelf for a few months earlier in the year and it did go up in cost when compared to Morrisons and Asda.0
