Backlog of cases with FP

I am in the process of complaining about my Friends Provident endowment being mis sold.
I send off the questionnaire last monday,but this morning i had a reply to say they were looking into the case,but due to the media attention endowments are receiving at the moment,there are a large number of cases.
They said they would write to me in 6 weeks to give me an update.
Have other people had similar happen?

6 weeks isnt bad in my opinion, some people have waited 6 months and more with some companies.I am a Mortgage Adviser
