I want one of these with a safety enclosure. Are they suitable for adults ?
Hoping to shed a few pounds (stone). :D

    Hi,

They are available in the makro mail that starts on wednesday at £99.99 plus vat. This includes enclosure and cover - made by body sculpture.

Yep, We have one of the Makro £99 ones and its rated at 16 stone so suitable for most adults. Both me and the wife have been on it (not at the same time, tsk!) and its very robust. However, if you are wanting to do anything other than just bounce straight up and down then you might want to consider something a bit bigger.

Trampolines can be dangerous. You must not attempt somersaults unless under the instruction of a qualified coach. You might wish to consider joining a class to learn how to bounce safely as well or instead of buying a trampoline. If you join a class you can also learn new moves. You shouldn't use a trampoline if you have existing joint problems.

I don't want to be a spoilsport and I certainly don't want to see the American Paedeatrics Society get its way and have all trampolining banned. I love my sport. It's great fun and although it can be dangerous I feel safe doing it because the risk is controlled. I do find it a bit worrying that anyone can buy and use a trampoline without any sort of training however. Trampolining is an amateur sport, some high level performers make money in the circus, we call it "bouncing". People who aren't involved in trampolining don't understand the judging system and tend to think it is subjective (it isn't). I can see why it isn't taken seriously as a sport. Nonetheless trampolines aren't toys and I don't think they should be sold as though they are.
  • I want a 8ft trampoline with the safety cage as cheaply as possible( but from somewhere reliable). If it was also a quidco referral that would be even better!

Have you looked at Littlewoods online? (I think you can also go through quidco). They have an 8ft trampoline for £99 and a safety cage for £49 and there are discount codes for £20 off or I think there is even a 20% code available on the discount vouchers/codes thread which would make it even cheaper. I bought the 12ft one from them about 18 months ago and I have been very happy with it. Hope that helps.

woolworths are doing the 8ft trampoline with safety cage for £99, delivery £4.95 - however i think you can only order it instore at this price, as i cant seem to find the same offer online - although you could just pick it up from the store, because the boxes it comes in are small enough to carry, although they may be heavy?

I just asked about this in my local store and they dont know anything about it. Has it finished?
  • 8ft is very small, you could do with a bigger one as kids grow so fast.

it was on in the two stores i visited yesterday, and they were in towns about 50miles apart, so i was assuming that it was an all over offer. one of the stores was a tiny one too, so its not just in the bigger ones

The trampoline should be £79 on its own, and the net was £49, but if bought together it was on offer at £99 - try ringing other stores
