Ikea Beds!

Hey guys, I'm currently looking for a bed and mattress from Ikea.
I've managed to find a mattress I like for £259, bit steep, but hey. I was wondering if any one could recommend a good bed frame?
One that won't creak if you catch my drift, lol.
Any discount codes floating around too?
Cheers!

Bear in mind that Ikea beds are metric, imperial bed linen wont fit properly. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Alternatively you could do what we do ...
Buy ikea bed, ikea mattress, ikes sheets. Then we have a normal everyday sized pillows, duvet and duvet covers to match. It has worked well for us for years!
I have to say as others have also mentioned the Malm is a fantastic bed!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Woo the Malm sure sounds pretty good, I think that's the one my bro got actually for his flat. Sweet.
Has any one got any spare Ikea Family money off vouchers for beds? Ta!0 -
Due to the low quality of their mattresses you would probably be better off buying the mattress from an independent UK manufacturer. Many will make the m to continental sizes. Many people try to find replacement mattresses to go on their Ikea beds because the mattresses are terrible.
By the way, they aren't just metric, they are different sizes.0 -
The malm bed looks nice but remember its quite low. The footboard is only 30cm off the ground, and the mattress is either the same or slightly higher (you can adjust the height of the rails). Personally I think its too low. Consider the Hopen bed frame, its slightly more expensive but its 39cm rather than 30 and I think this makes quite a difference.0

I forgot to add, Argos has 15% off all beds at the moment. If you did want a higher bed they do plenty of divans as well as wood and metal frame beds. They have a lot of mattress options.0
