Thanks for that. It makes me feel better. Keep at it, you will be fine. Also if you do have any luck getting charges back from the Royal Bank of Scotland could you let me know? I get the feeling they might be paying them back as recently when I have had things bounce they have not charged me. - VERY strange as I used to often get charged. I would like to write to them and ask about my charges for the last six years (as I read about on this website) but my aunt works in the local branch and as it is a wee village in scotland I am a bit embarrassed! I can't seem to find any real people (apart from the self appointed 'expert') who have managed to get these charges back. Any help / advice would be useful. Oops this was meant to be a thanks and turned into a plea!24.06.14 12 st 12 lb (waist 45" at fattest part of belly)

It's okIf you go to https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk they are the best experts over their for reclaiming your charges. You can avoid your branch and write straight to head office for your DPA (Data Protection Act) request to get the list of charges. Being in Scotland, the limit on the small claims track is £750 rather than the £5,000 down here. This means you can either go in for more than £750 to the fast track or multi track, or do it in batches of £750 (safer as then you aren't liable for costs). It's all explained at the site above, and good luck! My charges should be repaid in the next few days if all goes to plan now

Thanks for your help. Now I don't know whether I would be better to contact my branch or the main contact center. Also I live in England so maybe I could take them to court here? It is all a bit daunting. I have been browsing that site but still not too clear. I will keep searching I think it is starting to make sense. thanks again for your help. Do let me know if you have success with your bank charges.24.06.14 12 st 12 lb (waist 45" at fattest part of belly)

Just when I thought it couldn't possibly get any more confusing, I get a reply back from a DCA thanking me for my letter. Not confusing you ask? Well yes. Because the reply is from a company not even on my list!! !!!!!!?? They weren't courteous enough to include MY reference code on their letter, so I've written back and said that I expect to be at a legal trial in the Courtroom with Royal Bank of Scotland plc in 2 weeks so unless you want me to make a forced witness order for 1st Credit to be legally obliged to turn up for questioning, you best be giving me some answers - starting with who you are and how you came by my letter!
So, make that 26 companies now. 1st Credit Ltd just got added :-\0 -
Amos that is very confusing at this time of the night but I wish you well. Goodnight. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Hehe thanks tesuhoha, I think it's confusing at any time of day or night at the moment. I feel like I should be playing Benny Hill music :-\ I love doing my correspondence in wee hours of the morning, I find I can get so much more done when everyone else is in bed lol0
