FREE! Poems on the Underground (26 page) book

Found these at London Underground stations:

26 page book/booklet, filled with some of the Poems on the Underground in them- Originally Saw this advertised in a London papaer a while ago but couldn't see anything anywhere else so just ignored it.- Now I know its for real am posting this so others who love the poetry can grab one!

Not sure which stations have them but got mine from Southwark station. Read in the artical they will only be at a few stations, not all of them. Grab while you can!

It doesn't seem so, but you can get 6 of the poems here, as an a4 tube poster to download and print-

You could try sending an SAE to one of the stations or tube head office? I'm sure if its an SAE they would try to help?

A bit off topic, but I was rather impressed by the 'Art on The Underground' campaign they ran. I saw a poster with a loaf of bread with the TFl symbol () cut out the middle of it. Very nice.

Art on the Underground is a big art campaigne the LU do, its been going on for years, think it started around 2000? possibly earlier, and Gloucester Circus has alot of Art stuff there- may even be based there, bow it tends to be around many stations.

I think they now have gotten quite big and sponsor Artists or exhibitions or something- not sure exactly, just educated guesses! Am sure there must be something on the TFL website- will let you knwo if I get more info.

I can tell you that unfortunatley they don't have them at Canary Wharf.

Much luck to anyone hunting for them. If I do come across any other stations where they still have stock I'll let you know.
