People aren't saying don't post and keep quiet, they're saying check before posting again so that the thread isn't full of repeat posts and becomes clogged up.

I don't think people are intentially being nasty or rude but it does become annoying and creates extra hassle, especially as the whole point in the thread is to save people time.

To be honest though, i find it more annoying to read 20 posts people posting/bickering about the fact that one bloody link has already been posted once.. multiply that by god knows how many and you soon see why these posts get so long and why most people are too nervous to bother posting the links.

People are only trying to help, just let it be.. i'm sure there are people who do miss out the first time it's been posted for whatever reason that are grateful for repeat posts, and if you have already done the link posted, then just move onto the next post.. it's not that difficult really.

It's honestly like being back at school with all this going on.. chill out and just have some fun, as surely that's what it's meant to be? Otherwise.. what's the point?

The great irony is that the person who gets the most criticism is Darraghd, without whom none of us would have any clickthroughs, any competitions, any cross words, chalkboard, vouchers or squeezy piggies, and this thread would not even need to exist.
Although I agree with the rest of your post, TBH, I can't say I agree with the bit about Darragh.

Nice, hard-working guy though he might be, Darragh does not equal Pigsback. He's not the be-all-and-end-all who created all the quizzes and vouchers. :D He's their representative on this site, and his involvement here is a) part of his job, b) is not done purely out of goodness of his heart. PB get excellent, free consumer feedback through this site and it's worth a lot to them.

This thread existed long before Darragh came along. :)
Missed a lot over the last day haven't I?

Right, firstly you're very right. Darragh does not equal Pigsback. There is a great team behind me and we're all working hard to improve the site and things for you all. It's a long slow arduous process at times but I believe in it (because I'd like to see it become successful) and it's slowly improving, hard as that may seem to believe at times for some of you.

You're very right - I do get EXCELLENT feedback and criticism and support and all the rest from the MSE boards, and this is what keeps me coming back. It's not STRICTLY part of my job to reply, but I do when I can because:

    1. It's good customer service
    2. It makes me smile sometimes (like below)
(The way some people go on you'd think the directors of pigsback had just broken into their house and stolen one of their prize winning pedigree puppies rather than a failed link had cost them 30p, which was free anyway.
    :rotfl:
    3. It's interesting and interactive and fun to be involved in the brand and see your points of view
    4. You meet nice people (awww) and get great gifts :p (the latter of this sentence is a lie but I live in hope ;))

Is it "done purely out of goodness of his heart" - no of course not. One would have to question it if I was. However, I do try and be as "Curly" as possible to you - helping with queries, sorting out things, resolving issues and giving you advance notice of things when I can, the reason being I like doing it! It's good customer service, fun and exasperating at times and why not?

So that's that bit. Thank you for your feedback - I do appreciate it. I keep on saying be patient, be patient and I mean it - we do have a lot to do (and at times people are out ill, or on holidays or the usual) so it's not always possible to get to the next big priority straight away, but we try!

    Next then...
I just got this in my piggybank:

    Manual PiggyPoints Adjustment
    Easter Egg Hunt 19/4/2006 +50

Anyone else got this? I've no idea where it's come from (and I'm not complaining!)
    Now, Easter Eggs etc.

As you know we had some problems over the weekend with them...

So basically anyone who visited the Easter Egg "feature" and Shop and Earn section on our site over the weekend on Saturday, Sunday or Monday have been credited.

If you haven't been credited, I'm afraid you're not eligible (because according to your cookies and our records you didn't do the above) and no, I can't and won't credit PiggyPoints, don't mind if the lovely Mrs Moggins in Cleethorpes (my favourite member of the whole database - NEVER a bad word to say about us) was using your PC and she got the Points but you didn't, if the Easter Bunny crashed your PC or anything else I'm afraid. No correspondence will be entered into etc etc etc... sorry!

All Home Show tickets are now on their way to folk, so they should arrive tomorrow. All vouchers ordered in the last while were sent today (we have a backlog on Boots orders but I hope to get those sent tomorrow) and all Merchandise orders SHOULD be with you by Wednesday.

Visit London PiggyPoints should be credited tomorrow or Friday. Toptable bookings should be credited next week and all those Stress Pigs posted out on Monday or Tuesday...
Had a look on Pigsback about how to get involved in surveys, but can't seem to see any information. Understand it's invite only, from post a page or two back? Will email Pigsback.
This is done kinda randomly - you must be signed up to us (obviously), recieve an email and interact with the site. So for example, if we have a shopping survey we'll send it out to members who have shopped online with us and earned PiggyPoints, for the Goodfellas one it would have gone to members who printed and redeemed the coupon, or who signed up to the Food and Grocery newsletter etc. All I can recommend is using our site as much as you can!!

    Phew!

Darragh - do the weekly / monthly quizzes update for everyone on the same day (e.g, Monday for everyone) or does it vary by person (e.g. on a Friday if you last answered it on a Friday).

The reason I ask is that sometimes people post that new quiz question is up, but it shows as already having been answered when I go in to look. And I then get the question a few days on.

Understanding how the process actually works may help with all the complaints today about duplicate posts.

OK, this is an interesting one. It SHOULD update for everyone on the same day, so if someone would like to email me a list of the quizzes (or post them here), I'll tell you what day of the week it's set to change on. Would that help?

I have tried to e-mail 4 times now, with no response at all....

I joined on the 10th, I purchased a CD from CDWOW (which has arrived) and STILL nothing in my PB account.
