Me too afraid! When I read the first post it appeared to me that the OP had walked out and I still think that! I dont think it was upto the OP to question the manager - other than to maybe say have we got any cover as we are a person down but not to question why they made the decision!
In a previous post it was said that you needed this job and now you say you dont? Cant you just apologise and grin and bear work while looking for another job?
The situation might not be as bad as you think - you should really talk to your manager! When applying for jobs you will have to say why you left your previous job and often get references off them - in this case you may struggle?Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
Hiya,
Any updates on this? Has the OP gone back to work?Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
Maybe he can't afford the internet now?

Seriously though OP, being supportive (not least as no one else has been able to see a way through this), I think the line I'd take would be that the shift had become daunting to you which was your reason for asking, your manager gave you permission to go (in a calm & collected manner), which in a distressed state took advantage of.
Hopefully this makes sense.Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0
