Hi,
Well i've got the engagmenet ring, bought the champagne and orgainsed the food for the picnic. The only problem is i've just had a look at the weather forecast and its going to tip it down on Saturday; my plans for a nice day out in York followed by a picnic by the river and a proposal has just got soaked. I live in Nottingham and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what i could do to still go ahead and propse on Saturday which wouldn't be ruined by the rain?

My idea... if it rains: cook a meal with candlelight. After you'll eat give her a box of chocs and say to try one. Put the jewellery box inside ... at this point she will be probably unsure if it is a proposal (could be earrings or something..). Then get down on one knee and say how much you love her and ask the Question.
If you don't like my idea maybe it will inspire you at least.
Good luck!!! “Money is a powerful aphrodisiac. But flowers work almost as well.”0 -
How exciting!
Why dont you really go for it and get a friend to put up a tesco value marquee (£6 when i bought one) in an area ahead of the rain, and decorate it? (You may have to buy them a couple of bevvies perhaps

OR!
Sorry just thought of this one - get your fam involved and any potted flowers they have, borrow for the day and make an 'indoor picnic'; lay a rug on the floor, surround with plants with tealights in between, put on some 'nature sounds' music, hook your tv up to your laptop and pick out some pictures of vista's from places you have perhaps been on hols and run them on a loop?Aim - BUYING A HOUSE  by November 2013!Saved = 100% on 03/07/12 :j0 -
agree with the gazebo idea - it'll be such a romantic occasion that rain won't put a total dampener on it anyway - the gazebo will keep the lady looking gorgeous !0
