Hi all, just coming in to join the venting. I normally just lurk and occasionally post, but the last few days have really p***d me off

There seems to be so much animosity on the boards these days, no one seems to want to spend two minutes thanking people, people are needlessly bumping comps and no one seems pleased when people win. What is happening?

These used to be such a friendly and welcoming forum and now you read it and it's like word war 3.

Today, I've had a stroppy PM because I dared to finish up my pepsi ring pulls and win a second phone!... I'm not sorry, I was hardly going to throw them away un-input.

Add to that the sense of fair play seems to have gone out of comping. There are numerous messages on the pepsi thread of people asking for ways to create their own codes and the backlash over Magnum (I am not even going there!).

I've been watching a little comp on ASOS, where you put up a picture of your kids and basically people vote. Playing fair and square I asked family and put a bit up in the referrers thread. Watching the vote now, it seems that the other competitors have realised that if you give a really low vote, it brings down your average. My friends little girl, had a lovely 7 out of ten score, until two days later, her votes have gone up by twenty, and her competitors votes have gone up by twenty. Her score now 4.0 his 7.0. So all of his voters deliberately dropped her score. Not exactly playing fair.

It just seems that each day it stops being so much fun and starts becoming a chore.

Sorry for my whinge... just thought you guys might understand where I'm coming from. If I moan at OH, he just tells me I'm addicted and to "stop comping then!"

(Oh and thanks anyone in here who voted for me on vimto. I'd not had a chance to vote til just now and obviously someone has been voting so I do appreciate it - I did reciprocate with every MSE name I could recognise.)

I know :eek: It's been like that since Saturday but not much you can get done on a weekend, we phoned the local parts place this morning and they had the part we needed within an hour. OH's dad is coming round tomorrow to try and get the old exhaust off xx

Been really busy today, but Korky, I have felt like this for a long time, I am always going into the Puzzler thread and I hate the way people are in there. Cannot believe some people just take it for granted!! What you do is the most unselfish thing!! You should give all fake answers next week and just keep the right ones for yourself, teach em a lesson Thinkin of you and ignorethe minority hunni, majority rules !!

read the aggro as soon as i came online, decided not to say anything as it might start things up again, when i say something, i dont say it lightly:rotfl:sorry you had to go through all that korky, i certainly wouldn't be polite to them id tell them to !!!! off:rolleyes::D

dont worry about posting, ive tons to do, still to do sunday papers and mags i got today then there will be the mags tomorrow:eek: better catch up shortly:D

Someone having a good day then! I have had a very poor couple of weeks!! Since coming off my hols :mad: But I missed all comps ending 30/06 so that may have something to do with it :rotfl:
