Unfortunately, they don't show their SVR on their website, so it's difficult to keep an eye on it without phoning them upI am an Independent Financial Adviser

Beware though. My Bank of Ireland SVR mortgage has just been offloaded to 'The Mortgage Works' and will change to their Residental Mortgage Rate of 4.79%. They've delayed this until at least March but no doubt it will rise at the first opportunity.
I'm surprised they can do this, although my mortgages have been shifted between companies over the years this is the first time I've not been on a fixed rate0 -
Check out the thread titled: BOI and the mortgage works
It discusses the take over of BOI mortgages by the mortgage works (TMW) who has now made a lending decision to increase from 2.99% SVR to 4.79% SVR. This is almost double what some people have been paying.
Personally, I don't think this is acceptable, after all TMW knew what they were taking on- BOI could have doubled our SVR rate to make a profit!
There needs to be a community spirit in getting this issue raised and 3 months notice advising of almost double increase in SVR is inappropriate.0 -
Thanks for that J4P, I did have a quick look for a thread on the subject but have found it now.
I've gone to a 2.44% SVR from a fixed rate of just over 6% over the last 6 months but it's still a shock to find out that it's going to go back up. Fortunately I don't think that the amount per month extra I'll have to pay is that much but that's not really the point.0 -
Hunt to find account holders of BOI transferred to TMW.

Money's mortgages editor Simon Lambert is investigating this issue further. Please email him at editor@thisismoney.co.uk, marking Bank of Ireland and Simon Lambert in the subject line.
Please reply as we need as much support on this as possible. We only have a couple of months to raise full objection on this matter with TWM.0
