Paying a DCA by debit card

in Debt-free wannabe
Just wondered if it was possible to phone a DCA and make a payment by debit card. I am sure they will take the money but am concerned they will keep debiting my card.

Should I play it safe and send a cheque?

    I'd send a cheque/postal order/BACS transfer.. anything that doesn't give them a licence to take what they like, when they like.

    Yep, once they have your debit card number, who knows what they will do. They have been known to help themselves.
    Debt 30k in 2008.:eek::o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free :)
    Mortgage free since 2014 :)
