Anyone had any experience of these? They've left us a few answering machine messages: the weird thing is that, anything we owe, we're up to date on. I know enough not to call back!

What's the best course of action? I'm thinking I'd better get a credit report done, just in case, yes?

Like you said don't call them. Are they using your correct name on the answer phone message?
Wait and see if you get a letter from them. If you do then you can deny the debt and ask them to prove the debt and tell you who it relates to.

In the meantime its probably worth getting your credit report just to check they haven't put anyone elses debt on your credit report or to check you haven't forgotten an old debt.

Otherwise as frustrating as it is there is not much to do about the messages. If you don't get a letter within a month or so they probably don't have your address and so are just phishing to find a debtor and it might not be you they want.
