I have two Standard Life policies taken out 20years ago and 11 years ago, I have fallen behind with my payments for about 6 months, does this mean I will not get a windfall, if so could I pay the outstanding amount to enable me to get the windfall.
Both policies are showing a big shortfall and not sure what to do with them.

I suggest you ring up Standard life and ask.
Assuming you are eligible for the windfall, don't disturb the policies until after you get it.Trying to keep it simple...
