Hi guy's hope smeone can answer this one for me,
quick background - IVA failed last year, 2 debts now came back through a solicitor.
As hubby was made redundant and just going through benefit waiting game can't pay them anything but have written to them twice explaining this and giving them a £1 per debt payment each time.
They obviously don't read the letters as they keep sending the same one's plus we keep getting a real annoying machine thingy call us, (i just put the phone down
)
anyway my question is when income is sorted i have no problem sending them a income/expenditure sheet but they also want copies of my bank statements, not particularly happy about sending these, can they really insist on me sending them????
Cheers guys!!!:o

As far as i am aware, only a court can demand to see this. They may like to see your statements, but i don't think there is any legal requirement for you to show these to them.
Have you tried gettign in touch with Payplan or CCCS to help with the new DMP?After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

You have no legal obligation to provide them with bank statements, TMV.
If you currently do not have an income, then simply state this as fact - no need to 'wait till income is sorted'.
Going back to your 'failed IVA' - normally bankruptcy is an almost inevitable consequence of a failed IVA, so I would urge you to talk with one of the Debt Counselling Charities as soon as possible for some professional, impartial and free advice:- National debtline - https://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/ - tel 0808 808 4000
- CCCS - https://www.cccs.co.uk/ - tel 0800 138 1111

Good luckI am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
