Home bargains, yes or no?

I am going to home bargains later for the 1st time, it is 25 miles round trip so i was just wondering if they are actually worth the extra petrol driving thier and if thier prices are good?

Thanks

Home bargains is a great shop, often finding great stuff.

It's definitely worth it! They can be a bit slow stocking up at the weekends but it is usually fine during the week. I usually go in for a few things and end up spending more than anticipated!

Enjoy your trip! Let us know how it goes.

Yes, so prepare yourself, best to get a trolley and take some bags.
We are talking toiletries, kitchen stuff, food (the jars and sachets of sauces are great), kids toys, loo roll, wine, chocolates, present ideas, craft stuff, stationery...

Have a read of this thread and see the sort of stuff that have and their prices. I would never miss an opportunity to call in and see what they have.

yeah and no! Yes they have good priced stuff but I personally avoid it and have now banned b/f from there cause you end up buying thigs you didnt go in for!

Unless you are very constrained with money go for it but if you have a wondering eye for bargains it never works out so cheap.

I went in there three weeks ago for an extension lead and spent £30!

I love home bargains! The 'Nicky' loo rolls (4 for £1) and the kithchen roll (it's on1 really thick roll for about 80p) are really good. Lots of food bargains to be had to!

    Have fun!

Yes, yes, yes! If you've never been before, expect an epiphany and don't even think about taking a basket round, just get a trolley, lol!
