Hi there, I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction for forums or somewhere to advertise strawberries for jam-making? I have a rather large surplus of strawberries that I want to get rid of and would like to make a couple of pounds in doing so? They are too ripe to sell but I want to get rid in bulk for jam or smoothies. Many thanks!

when you say large.. what quantities are we talking about.... 10.. 20... 50... punnets... my mum makes jam but i think Ballymena may be a wee bit far for her to travel. (obviously depends on the price too..)0

They aren't in punnets, just loose and can be divided into 1kg bags. I could possibly drop them off in Belfast or somewhere between for a big order >20kg. I don't wish to have the thread closed for advertising so pm me if you want more info on cost etc.0

Does anyone else know where I could look?0

To be honest thetope with the cost of the sugar added on it's cheaper for most people to buy jam rather than make it. And I would never have made jam with fruit that was over-ripe.
Have you thought about freezing them before they disintegrate entirely and are useless. I open freeze strawbs on a tray then pack in freezer bags when they are solid.0
