Drive By Survey - WHAT A JOKE!

-
There are three valuation levels. Mortgage valuation, homebuyers report and survey. The mortgage valuation is the cheapest and the most basic. It is also the option that earns the surveyor the least money. You are getting what you pay for.I wouldn't mind being a surveyor at the moment if all that entails is driving past the house!
A mortgage valuation is really only to make sure the property is there and it looks mortgageable and an opinion based on that limited knowledge of that the price may be. Nothing more than that.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
