Good morning all - TFI Friday :j

Scratches and banking done and nothing momentus to report on either front, so I suppose that is a good enough start to the day.

And nothing else to report - very boring! OH managed to get a refund sorted from Orange for the broadband but it will take 7-10 days to process which narks because they took it instantly, they should return it instantly in my opinion. Still, at least we got them to agree they shouldn't have taken it.

Have a good day everyone xx

  • 7-10 days?? thats a bit much aint it?? The company I work for release money instantly, ie we dont have it any more, and it can take up to 5 working days to be available in the clients account depending on what bank they are with, but 10?? Hmmmmm, perhaps phone companies are slightly different! (or wanting to earn interest for as long as possible!)

Anyway, property !!!!!! day?? exactly what does this entail?? Mine tends to be every second thursday when our local property agents update their website, they seem to be handling every property sale in the area just now!! x

kirsten, orange say they will send a cheque to us within 7-10 days, so it will actually be a lot longer before it reaches us and clears. Oh well, as long as it comes back to me I don't mind.

Property !!!!!! - well Friday is the property supplement in the local paper, which has been part of my Friday routine for as long as I can remember, since my goal has always been to move into my dream house before I am 40.....(which is not too far away now, so I think we will have to extend that number by just a year or so!)

So Fridays is all about the "what ifs, buts, and maybes" along with the back of the envelope calculations about LTVs, equity, mortgage income multiples etc :o

Just waiting for one of the boys to bring the papers round, and I will be sorted.

Morning! Hypno, when I got a refund from an insurance company in exactly your situation, they literally took months - and when I complained, they gave me a £5 credit. They weren't going to give me anything unless I'd been overdrawn or had to pay interest because of it, so I said something like, so you're going to penalise me because I'm financially prudent? They paid up.

Property !!!!!! ... I do like it! But its interesting, the friend of mine who moved to Three Bridges said to me the other day about a little two bed end of terrace round her way going for £170k - and while she's too far away from the railway station for me, I *would* like that further in, tho still quiet. A little two-bedder costing £200k in a quiet road.... yep, that'd do me. Otherwise, I'll get too involved in upkeep, and I'm just *dreadful* at upkeep. Even I can manage a two bedder with a small garden.....

Onwards and upwards! Lets see the property !!!!!! .....

This one would have potential, but it is the wrong side of the city for me.

and I love this one and its price, but it is an hours drive from work so not really where I would want to be.

And this one is not big, but is in a very pretty part of the county......I could enjoy the area around here, nicely.

But I think I might just have to stay where I am this week.......

Ooooh I love those houses....my options are tidy the house I live in so it's all lovely or move and chuck loads of stuff away. I'm guessing the first option is easier and cheaper but procrastination is my middle name! Must get my bum into gear!

    Have a good day xx
