Hypno's approach to life, the universe and debtbusting.....

I never cease to be amazed at people who go back and read my tales of debtbusting from the beginning - anyone who does so deserves a virtual packet of jaffa cakes (at the very least!).....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. How do you keep the motivation going, that is my problem.
I start off with good intentions, doing surveys, matched betting and other stuff, and then I get fed-up and stop. Then start again awhile later. I really need to get rid of my debt quicker.
Do you have any tips, do you just treat the debt busting as if it was a second job then, is that how you keep going.
Thanks

yep thats my problem as well0 -
Yes, I do see it as a job - I need to "earn" more income, and the fact that it is done via MSE makes it no different to any other job really. Whether the money comes from actual income brought in, or in savings within budgets etc, doesn't really matter - it is all helping to balance the books in the long run!
Also, contributing to the motivation is the memory of how things were so so stressful when our debt was at its worst.....nightmares, looking into going bankrupt, etc etc. We still have a significant amount of debt, and if we are not careful, it would bo easy for that to creep back up, and for those nightmares and addtional pressures to return, and I just can't go back there. I don't know that I could hack it again. So that drives me on - the need to be "comfortable".......preferably in a different house, but even if it were to be in this house, the ability to sleep at night, and have the knowledge that the bills are paid and food is on the table is huge motivation for me.
And I have said before, and I will say again, that MSE, and in particular this board and those that contribute to my diary, are a great motivator - it is the reason I post so much.....because it keeps me going :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. But I do wish that the MSE techie people would stop playing around with the "abuse" "quote" "thanks" etc buttons.........in the course of today we have seen all sorts of movements going on at the bottom of each post.......:mad:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. You inspire soooooooo many people and I've personally learnt a lot hanging around here! This is one of my favourite threads! :T
I think your diary was one of the 1st I read here (yep all the way through though it was a while ago so a fair bit shorter ) and the energy contained here is utterly infectious and if even 5% off it rubs off on me I'll be happy!
Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you, thank-you! :T:iloveyou:
