Flippin heck - I go off and do some houseworky type stuff to provide a semi normal place for my rent-paying teenagers to live, and I miss all the wine

Becky - take £20 out of the bank and see how long you can make it last......I dare you!!

I have just over a pound left - enough for chocolate for the rest of the week if needed! Not enough for bacon roll on Friday though, so I will have to be strong enough to say NO again! Then I will take another £20 out on Monday morning to see how long I can last next time :D

    Hi Hypno,

im still reading though your diary and I wish I had your motivation and energy. You obviously have big challenges, and they might get you down, but you fight them, and get back up again, more determined than before (at least thats how it seems to me).

I wish I were more like you. Im lucky enough not to have any debt (been there, done that, bought the t-shirt), and am determined never to go back there again. I am now in a position however, where I have to budget, and im afraid im beginning to struggle. i have so many big things that are due in August and September and I dont know where I will find the money. I have savings and it looks as if I will have to use them to pay for these things, and Ive been sitting crying tonight because I feel a failure for having to do this.

Ive looked at Quidco etc to try to get some money that way but it seems to me that the only way I can get money from them is if i buy something, and there isnt anything I need to buy.

Please please please send me some of your determination, motivation and stamina, I think Im going to need it.

    Jackie xx

Don't despair! Have a look on the "Quidco - no spend required" thread which is either on the "Freebies" board, or is on the "up your income" board, I think.....it will give you all the ways of getting quidco cash without spending money. For example sign up for a magazine free trial, get £10 cashback, but cancel the subscription before the free trial is up so you don't pay for anything....

Also, payday loans (boo hiss) even offer cashback - sign up for the minimum payday loan, pay it back on payday, obviously, and get £65 cashback or something similar - after paying the payday loan costs, you still have a profit of £40 or thereabouts!

So, even if you have to dip into your savings, set yourself a target of when you want to have it "repaid" to yourself, and get quidco-ing, ebaying, do a car boot or two, get into matched betting for the football season, if you haven't already done so.....and you will be well on the way!!

Morning - checked banking for us and DS - his housemates cheque towards gas bill has bounced again so once again DS is footing bill.

Nothing else to report except that DS has managed to get 10 weeks work over the summer with DH company.

Reports going home to parents today if i ever get them ready !!! Be glad when this week is over really

I feel another chocolate day coming on!

    Have a good one
