Mortgage overpayment

Hi,
I recently paid £8900 off my mortgage of £121 000. howewver Abbey didnt take my payment this month as they thought i was in credit. They have since given me the option to take my monthly payment of £594 from the £8900 which would leave my mortage at £112 694 instead of £112 100 had they processed it correctly. My fixed rate is 5.89% until 3rd August then it is standard variable currently 4.24%. So my monthly payment had they taken the payment correctly would be 550 and then 396 but as it stands now is 553 then 398. Would i be better off paying this months or not? Its making my head hurt!
