I am looking for the best, and cheapest driving experiences as a birthday gift for a petrol head. There seem to be a vast array of sites offering similar experiences and very different prices.

There are so many different experiences from F1 cars to tanks and also spread across the country that you need to start defining it down a bit. Also take into consideration the cost of getting to the venue.
As an example my local track, Croft offers this Taster for £99.
