Mortgage Interest Calculation

Once a year an amount of interest is charged to my mortgage account. I have no way of knowing if this amount is correct. I check it to see if it looks roughly right - but in the end who knows? :rolleyes: Don't you think this sucks! Don't you think mortgage providers should give us more details of how they arrive at their figures? What do other MSEers think? What do you think Martin?
