additional borrowing or remortgaging

Has anyone ever had a default but still received additional borrowing or even remortgaged.

Default not paid but should be removed end of this year.

House valued at £95,000, mortgage is £57000 looking to raise extra £13,000 to pay of secured loan of £10000.

Any advice appreciated.
