My debate is not with you GD, I thought I was on ignore from you?Graham_Devon wrote: »Jeez.
It's quite clear there were 3 properties.
Agreed three, bought in 1987ish, 1997 and inherited recently.
Sold one in 2007 to a BTL mug and the inherited one recently to be mortgage free.
But also states he is mortgage free in his home and the retned one.
Where has the 4th come from?Graham_Devon wrote: »Though I have to say ISTL, your spinning here is something to be commended.
It's not my spinning, it's his claims which appear to be changingGraham_Devon wrote: »Secondly, getting valuations does NOT mean marketing it with estate agents. I would say your spinning is to be commended, but actually, its really quite desperate to act quite so thick in order to make it look like someone else is lying.
Agreed, valuations is not marketing, but he has said on one post he marketed it and on another he didn't. SimplesGraham_Devon wrote: »Thirdly, not every landlord is a business landlord. My dad wasn't, and didnt know anything about the taxes. Not everyone is professionaly involved and the poster has quite clearly stated he wasnt. Same goes for many business's across the country who hire someone in to do their taxes.
Fair point, but when he sold his rented property in 2007, he should have found out, else, did he pay CGT on that property:wall:

As I found, there is no point having you on ignore, as everytime someone quotes you to laugh at you, your diarrhoea pops up on my screen so can see most of your posts0

Yet again, no.
As graham suggested, you are either stupid or are being deliberately obtuse to try to sooth your resentment.
Let me try to explain...........
House A bought 1987............ House A rented out in 1988 to present
House B bought 1992.............House B rented out in 1997
House C (my present home) bought 1997
House B sold in 2007 to a BTL muppet
House D (the inherited one) sold 2009 and money used to pay off mortgages on House A and C.
In other words I now own 2 house mortgage free - a position you yourself have said you would like to be in.
Your envy is obviously clouding your judgement of me and my belief that falling prices are good is obviously confusing you.
And I also mentioned that my first post was merely posted to promote discussion AFTER I had already sold the house in question."The problem with quotes on the internet is that you never know whether they are genuine or not" -

No doubt there will be a post from 3000bc dragged up now and spun beyond all recognition.
If not, he might drag one up and point out you made a spelling mistake in 2006.0 -

LOL, still not envious, just ousting you for changing what you say to suit your needs.
Could be pheasable after the introduction of House B above.
Certainly not clear when you said below it would appear you became an accidental LL of the first house you ever bought when you moved into your present home, you rented out the second (I assumed property, not a second BTL)I have been a homeowner for over 20 years and during that time I became an accidental landlord of the first house I ever bought and then bought another one to live in.
On moving to my present home in 1997, I rented out the second.
That is the one I sold in 2007.
Just one query, when you sold the House B in 2007, a property you owned for 17 years, with the rampant HPI in those years, why didn't that pay of Houses A & C, properties which would have had mortgages paid for 12 & 22 years?:wall:

i remember the other day he was laughing and joining in when Really was getting grief from the ghetto members of this forum - he was Thanking them, joining in giving Really a hard time and now he is playing the innocence routine saying questioning dubious posts is out of order.
he has double standards and is long on bitterness. simples.0 -
At last you have seen the light
I have not changed my posts to suit my needs.
Perhaps it was the wording, I'll give you that.
And by the way, what I did with money in 2007 is none of your business."The problem with quotes on the internet is that you never know whether they are genuine or not" -

Fair enough, I would have thought it would have been very MSE to pay off the debts, but of coursem you can do whatever you want with it:wall:

LOL, you still posts opposites i.e. one post you market something, the next you dont.
Like the boy who cried wolf, when do we know if your posts are genuine
P.S., My ISTL name is reference to the moment I had when I realised the benefits of paying off my mortgages as quickly as I could.
Something you had not realised still having mortgages after 22 years:wall:
