I'm leaning towards sands-by-the-sea because of that French Wiki page where it mentions 'Camp Bleu à Plage-les-Trous'. Plage and sands are similar but sables would be a literal translation of sands. Trous is hole or burrow though... The proof will be in Waterstones methinks.0

I've read it in French and the Camp is 'Plage-les-Trous' - which does literally translate to 'Beach of Holes'...Each generation imagines itself to be more intelligent than the one that went before it, and wiser than the one that comes after it.0

Tangle...you are probably right on this.Well I think so...0

the question is
Q. What is the name of the camp that Nicholas goes to in Nicholas on Holiday?
a) Shells-by-the-Sea Camp
b) Sands-by-the-Sea Camp
c) Fun-by-the-Sea Campplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Oh and here is the actual competition link http://www.phaidon.com/competitions/nicholas-eurostar/index.html
There is only one competition, The Times says go to Phaidon to enter.
The answer is Sands-by-the-sea, I went to Waterstones and stood amongst the seated children, looking rather out of place...
