Remortgaging with a low LTV ?

Hi all,

The end of my discount tracker (BoE - 0.06%) is sadly coming to an end soon ... but it was good while it lasted.

Looking round the usual websites / banks / lenders and they all seem to be quoting for LTVs of 75% or 90% and the current deals are bit of an eye-opener (certainly compared to how much we're currently paying a month).

We will be remortgaging for £127k on a property worth at least £240k so we're talking close to 50% LTV.

Are there any 'specialist' mortgage providers who do better deals for people with LTV well below the usual rates ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Adam Brunt

most lenders band their rates, with the best deals being at below 75% or some at below 60%

The rates are better but still no where near what you have grown used to.

I understand that but the problem is - I can't seem to find many of these of 60% offers (just the 75% and 90% ones).

Its a !!!!-eyed way of searching , I know C&G and HSBC ( maybe others but as I said not the way I would go about it) have 60% deals, although thats not to say their 60% deals are better than 75% deals elsewhere

That's true but following the generalisation that low LTV = low IR, then it sort of makes sense to look for the low LTV deals first.
