Can we claim

My husband took out an endowment in 1990 - he was serving in the Armed Forces and wanted the money to put down a deposit when he left and needed a house rather than to pay off a final amount on a mortgage.
He now is facing a shortfall on the amount he was told it would pay - can he claim even though we don't have a mortgage?

Was the policy always intended to support a mortgage at some point in the future?
If so its a forward sale and the complaint should be upheld.Who's going to fly your plane? / When you need to make your getaway....0
