Hi,

Does anyone have Belfast Zoo membership? It's £25 for a year. Unlimited entry so as long as you go 3 times it pays for itself. Also anyone been to the Zoo recently? Is it any good? Would be for 2 adults, OH is monkey mad!

    Hi,
The Zoo is pretty good! I was there a few months ago with my toddler and he loved it. They've got a new entrance hall which also has a fairly decent shop. The canteen is maybe not the best but not bad.
    Well worth a visit.
    Cheers,

I think the tea room was burnt down, so a picnic might be better! I think there is a larger cafe at the entrance, just bring some drinks and snacks for when you get to the top!

Yep, the tea-room is gone - but the bigger restaurant nearer the gates is still there.

I think the membership is good value - I find that when we have a membership to something, we go more often than we would have before, so we get more out of it than we thought. Sometimes it only seems worth paying for entrance to something if you can stay all day, but if it's covered by your membership anyway, you can go for a couple of hours, or just go for the playground or whatever.

We did the Rise-and-Shine tour recently - started at 7.30 am but was excellent - very good value. I'd probably buy a membership if it wasn't for all the steep hills - or if I didn't have a baby to push/carry up them, or if I was fitter....

I'm sorry, went to Zoo on Sunday with my Grandchild, but won't be back. One visit in a lifetime would be sufficient for me.

ive been a memebr for 2 years now (both me and husband) we would take a run up there the odd sunday just for a walk around
to be honest the hedges could be cut back a bit more so you can actually see more of the animals but if you love animals and dont mind standing around for a while then its grand

your membership also gets you into some of the zoos over in enlgand and scotland so if your over there you get in for nothing although get them to confirm which ones ( i know Edinburgh and Chester are two)

    hope that helps
    :D
