Loan needed for rental deposit

Hi there all, would be great if i could get some advice please. I need to borrow £2500 to pay for the rent in advance and bond on my new rental house. I agreed to rent the property and after having to pay the £200 "administration fee" they told us that we could rent it and it is being held for us untill the end of july when i said we wanted to move in. I thought this would not be a problem seeing as how my house i had with my ex partner is in the process of being sold and was due to complete on the 3rd july so i thought i would be fine for the rent in advance etc but to cut a long story short the sale hasn't fallen through but is taking longer than expected and now we dont even have a completion date for this month. This is why i need to find the £2500 for all the fee's for the new house and the only way i can think of is to get a loan and then replay it in full when the money from the house comes in.

I applied to Black Horse (who i have my car finance with) and was declined. My credit rating is bad but not really bad a few defaults and no outstanding debt but it is still bad anyone know of any companies i could try? I dont want to go applying for loads because of the adverse effects etc. Thanks in advance

Talk to your own bank? It maybe that they will make an exception given that your house sale will free up funds. You might have to pay a big interest rate or arrangement fee though?

    Good luck

Why do people always say that? If you have defaults then your credit isn't bad, its dire.

I guess there was some spam above yours Rich, or you've seen the light and taken the path of so many noobs and necroposted a two year old thread.

I didn't resurrect a 2 year old thread, there was spam above my post, the bit removed from mine read:
    :spam: reported.

  • That's strange, as you've directly quoted the original post from the OP from 2 years ago, and responded directly to that - not to spam. Nothing more exciting to do today, perhaps?

I saw the unedited post and Rich is correct. I too reported the spam that was above him.

I have learned that it's best to just report necro-spam, not actually post though. Otherwise you get grief once the spam is gone, as it looks like you were responsible for the thread resurrection ;)

Grief, i suppose, from petty people with, possibly, nothing more exciting to do?
