whats happened to littlewoods direct?
they have had a relaunch and a name change, and everything is more expensive than before! eg a garden set in additions is £124 reduced from £249, littlewood direct same set is now £249 reduced from £375! and it was never £375 in the cat, as ive been watching this item hoping for a huge reduction. Plus since the name change ive lost my VIP status, which gave me special offers etc. anyone else noticed this

I have to sy, Littlewoods never struck me as good with prices. Most of the things I see on their site- even with a "spend £100 get £50 back" offer code, are easily undercut by Amazon. And if not, its because they don't seem to be popular products.
Never knew they had VIP service, never got around to searching for a decent offer- then there are the horror stories on codes working, then money being taken back weeks later and incuring charges from the bank they take it back from...
Wouldn't shop at Littlewoods personally, or is that just me?0 -
Hi, I’m Nina getting in touch on behalf of Very. All prices on the new site should be exactly the same as they were on the old site. The increased prices are a genuine mistake which we’re trying to rectify as soon as possible, so thanks for pointing this out!
The VIP status has now been superseded by the new Very ‘Insider’ network, which means you can apply to join a whole new world of rewards and benefits (you’re also able to join celebrity designers like Fearne Cotton and Peaches Geldolf to give your opinions and reviews online).
As Very.co.uk is a new site, it’s useful to get your feedback and we really appreciate it.0 -
Hi Nina,
I ordered from the site yesterday and I'd like to say that I don't believe that the prices have changed, however I do believe that there is less choice. Some of the departments had practically nothing to choose from which was very disappointing. Is this a system error, or have you cut down on the amount of products you'll be offering?0 -
Hi Wardy
Alison from Very here! Thanks for the feedback - you are right , we have been having some teething problems loading products to the site - more went live last night and loads more go live tonight, so please come back and visit us again after tonight, and let us know if it still doesn't feel "full" enough! Thanks again.0 -
Hi allypally,
Have been on today and have noticed a huge increase - esp in the lingerie dept where i was looking:rolleyes:
Had some fab stuff from there in the past, so glad it's back to the standard I'm used to, just a pity it wasn't there yesterday when I placed my order:(0 -

littlewoods/very waste of time
i opened a litttlewoods account in april ordered something
got left with my neighbour
got sent something completly different
phoned and explained and got told to send it back
then spent the next 3 months fighting with them to recredit my account despite sending them the courier card that was left through my door along with 5 page letters explaining the situiation i sent them recorded del, special del even had to get a solicitior to write them a letter
spent alot of time and money phoning them posting them letters
they just told me to pay when i phoned and explained the problem and told me it would come off any future transactions once sorted out
then they re credited then 2 days later took it away when i phoned to ask why this had been done i was told that they re credit when you return an item i said this was impossible and a lie as i returned it the next day and it had not been recredited untill now nearly 2 months later they hung up
i ended up with missed payments on my credit report, legal direct recoverys after me on my credit file wich littlewoods denied knowing off
then after 3 months on the day i was due to issue court procedings they recredited my account
after all the stress and hassle what did i end up with nothing nada nowt
not even a sorry we got it wrong0 -
the weirdest thing happened to me. I was on the littlewoods website looking at some trousers which were about £25 (could be more) down to £16, they have been that price for quite a few weeks and i finally decided to order them. My computer crashed so i restarted and went back to the littlewoods website to find it has completely changed and the price of the exact same trousers are now £33! this happened in the space of about 5 mins (seriously). So the trousers i wanted have shot up by £17 in the space of a few mins, dont think i will be shopping with littlewoods/very again. I think its disgusting!
edit: oh and the same trousers are £26 on very.co.uk!0 -
Got the new catalogue delivered over the weekend from them
Very poor...pardon the pun. If they want to be online only then do it and save printing them out. Appalling layout of catalogue, zero information on anything, looks like a menu at a prison0
