Strong Floor cleaner

Options
Morning everyone,

been getting on with some cleaning this morning at my bf's place. Im about to tackle his kitchen floor; unfortunately his kitchen cealing fell in the other month (mostly plasterboard...which has seemed to kinda 'melted' into the lino on the floor ). But gonna pop to Mr M's for some cleaner first, does anyone have any reccomendations for some OS (hopefully eco friendly and strong enough to work on this plaster :o) floor cleaner please?

    Hi Odette
you may need to try scraping it with a paint scraper first, try this in a small area first, before using a cleaner. Then i would use good old stardrops for the clean.
hopefully there will be someone along to give you better ideas.
    good luck hun,
    caz

Try using green nylon scourers (wear gloves!), as the chances are that you need elbow grease and friction to get this off, and not chemicals rinse it off.

It seems to come off the woodwork (shelves above) ok with normal kitchen cleaner, in the end i opted for that super-concentrated disinfectant that my mum always swears by (cealing fell in due to leak and is very mouldy and gross :() so I will see how that goes, thanks very much for replies.

Please bare with me, im sure i will be coming up with lots more problems as Im moving into my own place soon :o

Plasterboard is mainly Gypsum which is also mainly calcium sulphate so should come up with salt water as you will then get calcium chloride and sodium sulphate both of which are very solluble in water. Other than that you might find a weal sollution of hydrochloric acid will have some effect
