  • Well after reading this article last week I ordered a pair of these, they came today..... NOT HAPPY! :mad:The sound quality is atrocious, they look real but as soon as I plugged them in to my iPod I was not happy, they are worse than the ones I got with the iPod, they sound so tinny & NO bass at all, I have emailed play.com & asked for a refund, has any one else had a problem with them?

Worth making sure you're inserting them right, and using the right size plastic bits for your ears: obviously be careful with your ears, but if there's not a decent seal then this type of phone does sound tinny.

Absolutely, I use CX300s and tbh its a bit of a fiddle to get them in right each time and they do sound dreadful without a proper seal as you say, but once you get the hang of it its well worth it.
  • Like loopylass09 I checked the headphones I received on the fakeheadphones website and am happy that they are genuine. They sound great. These were bought from Play and not a reseller.

I'm still fiddling around with bit trying to get the right fit, seems my ears holes are different.
  • I'm afraid one of my readers have reported a pair of white CX500 to be fake according to the various comparisons i have on fake and genuine CX earphones.

For those who have visited fakeheadphones*com will probably know that I personally received a pair of fake CX300 II earphones directly from Amazon.co.uk.

I'm waiting on photo conformation from my reader, but Dan648 has given an extensive description of the irregularities.
