Hi,
I can dimly remember (that's as good as it ever gets!) reading something about writing to your creditors to tell them you will only have contact in writing and requesting they stop trying to call.
Does anyone know if there's a template letter for this? I have a credit card with Aqua, who are developing certain stalker-like qualities, and I just want them to quit phoning me all the time. I told them my mobile got stolen, and eventually they stopped trying to call it (took months though), but unfortunately they also have my landline number. I never actually answer the phone, but my BF sometimes does, and frankly, no good can come of it!
SO if anyone knows where the template letter is, or has an idea what I should actually say to them (and maintain my facade of being a rational person...), I would be very grateful for the help.
Thank you! :-)

Hi
There is a template on the forum, some one will point you in the right direction shortly, If I was you I would sign up for "Choose To Refuse" if you are a BT user or ask your landline provider if they offer a similar service, basically you can block certain numbers from calling you, if you sign up online you can block the calls straight away "HAPPY DAYS"DMP mutual support thread member:3270 -
Fantastic! Thanks Numpty Monkey, that's exactly what I was after. Nothing beats an arsey letter :-)
Thanks Scouselad, that's really useful. Don't suppose it works on companies with witheld numbers does it? I hate it when they do that! Or can you block all witheld numbers? That would cut out a massive amount of cold callers. I was getting about 8 calls a day from an Indian call centre giving me that nonsense about "government loophole to wipe out your debt", I asked them a load of times not to call me, but they didn't stop until I started being a bit sweary. I guess they stop bothering once they think you're a proper nutter!
Cheers everyone!0 -
