Can anyone recommend a reliable computer repair shop near Perth? I am having trouble with my laptop but don't know of anyone local. Happy to travel within a 20-30 mile radius.

What kind of problems are you having ?0

The screen is a bit "jumpy". Also running slowly and hesitantly. Also when on my "lap" as opposed to a table, it is making a humming noise. I have run scan disk and defragmented the HD and run chkdisk but nothing hepls. I have also updated my drivers and have checked the Lenovo website but nothing that seems obvious.
Not a complete novice when it comes to computers but the problem seems beyond me.0 -
I have Kapersky running and updating constantly. I could post in the techie forum but really I just want to give it to an expert who will take it off me and give it back "good as new" - easy! Which is why I'm looking for a decent repairer locally. Knowing me, I could end up doing more more damage than good if I attempt a self repair....!0

go buy a compressed air can from tescos or the like. spray into the fan holes to get rid of the dust inside.
Alterativly (entirely at your own risk!) get the hoover out, put a tissue over the hose (hold with an elastic band) and suck out all the dust (this is what i do)
laptops start running slow when they get dusty inside, and if you sit with it on your lap its even worse.
invest in a laptop pad for sitting with it on your knees.
if your still having problems pm me.0 -
Thanks for your advice. However, I have realised what the problem is and the laptop is now working perfectly.
A few weeks ago I had bought a wireless printer. When I uninstalled the software the computer went back to working normally (thank goodness!). I will probably have to use a wired connection rather than wireless0
