    Once the BI has been bought, that's it, done an dusted, the house is yours again forever no matter how much house prices rise. If there's no equity you can buy the BI yourselves, £1 each + £211. It's only if there's equity someone else has to buy it.

    Once you're discharged and have cleaned up your credit file it would be easier to ren than wilst your BR. If you can find a private LL who doesn't go through an agent they don't usually credit check, you can also have guarantors, and if you do decide to give up the house you can stop paying the mortgage to save for the deposit, and would probably have time to save for 6 months rent up front if necessary before you were repossessed.

    Its basically been worry about house situ thats been delaying BR and of course want to wait and see what financial expert from British Legion has to say, hoping for appt soon.

    Moving family out now esp to rent at same as what we are paying on mortgage has seemed daunting to say the least!! Thanks for advice.
